Free standalone M/M shorts—proximity, pressure, restraint, and the cost of wanting each other. Read in one sitting.
Some stories belong in the dark.
Ash & Velvet is my adult short-fiction imprint for explicit M/M and queer work that goes further into taboo, fear, appetite, and obsession than the rest of my catalog. It gives me room to write the encounter that should be a bad idea, the creature that understands desire too well, the bargain nobody makes with clean hands, and the character who crosses a line knowing exactly where it was.
The stories here are built around more than sexual intensity. Heat changes the balance between people. It reveals who can ask, who can refuse, who has been pretending not to know, and what happens when control stops feeling as simple as one person having it. In supernatural stories, desire may be tied to hunger, transformation, ritual, possession, or a body responding to something it cannot explain. In contemporary stories, the danger may be social, emotional, professional, or entirely private. Either way, the erotic material does real narrative work.
Readers can enter through three kinds of fiction. The first is the standalone short read, a complete story with its own characters, escalation, and ending. These pieces are made for one sitting, but they are not disposable scenes. The second is connected fiction, where a pairing, creature, or conflict returns and the consequences continue accumulating. The third is erotic horror and monster romance, where attraction meets the uncanny and the line between being wanted and being consumed may not stay where anyone left it.
Expect graphic sexual content and mature themes. Depending on the story, that may include morally compromised choices, unequal power, age-gap tension, violence, body horror, supernatural control, possessiveness, fear, or characters who want things they would not defend in daylight. The presence of a fantasy on the page is not an endorsement of the same conduct outside fiction. These stories are written for adults who understand that dark material can be explored deliberately without being softened into a lesson.
Check the content notes attached to each story. They are more precise than a sitewide warning and should be treated as part of the reading decision. I do not use them to disguise the work behind vague language. When a story contains material readers may reasonably need to know about, the note should name it directly while leaving the plot itself intact.
Ash & Velvet also gives shorter ideas somewhere honest to live. Not every premise needs eighty thousand words. Some are strongest when they arrive fast, tighten around one decision, and stop before the characters can pretend they are the people they were at the beginning. Others grow into a sequence because the first encounter creates a problem no single ending can contain.
Browse the free fiction for a complete first taste. Follow the recurring work when you want to watch desire turn into attachment, dependence, rivalry, or something harder to name. Join the list for release notices, excerpts, free stories, and behind-the-scenes notes. This is the part of my work that does not lower its voice when the door closes.
