This is the simplest way to reach me directly in writing. Use the form for reader mail, questions about a book or short story, professional inquiries, rights requests, press, review copies, or concerns about material published on the site. Written contact works best, and a clear first message gives me the best chance of understanding what you need without making you repeat yourself.

If you are a reader, you are welcome to write because a story stayed with you. You can tell me what you loved, what hurt, what made you angry, or what you are still thinking about days later. You do not need to write a review or turn the message into praise. Honest, thoughtful responses matter. Please include the title so I know which characters and events you mean. When the message concerns a factual error, broken link, accessibility problem, or content note that needs attention, describe where you encountered it and what happened.

For business correspondence, begin with the practical information. Tell me who you are, the organization or publication you represent, what you are requesting, and when you need an answer. Interview and podcast invitations should include the subject, format, expected length, proposed date, and whether the appearance would be live or prerecorded. Requests involving review copies should identify the outlet, platform, or professional purpose. Event invitations should include the location, audience, date, travel expectations, and whether remote participation is possible.

Publishing and licensing messages need enough detail to evaluate the request. Name the book or story, the rights or edition involved, the proposed territory and language, and the company or individual making the inquiry. The form may be used for translation, anthology, audio, adaptation, reprint, educational, and other permissions questions. It should not be used to send a contract, manuscript, or large package before contact has been established.

Please do not submit your own unpublished fiction for feedback, ask me to recommend an agent, or send a project with the expectation that I will edit, endorse, publish, or collaborate on it. I cannot evaluate unsolicited manuscripts, and I do not want another writer’s unpublished premise sitting in my inbox. Do not send private medical, financial, legal, or identity documents through the website.

I read messages personally and respond when the request calls for an answer and time allows. Some reader notes may not receive an individual response, but they are still read and appreciated. If your message is genuinely time-sensitive, put the date in the subject and explain the deadline in the first paragraph. One complete message is more useful than several partial follow-ups.

Before sending, check that your email address is correct. If I cannot reply because the address contains an error, the form gives me no other way to reach you.
