About the Author

Kevin Snell, literary fiction author, portrait

Kevin Snell writes literary and upmarket fiction about intimacy, consequence, and the ethics of attention—what happens when control fails, and presence becomes the only honest act. He is the author of Ice and Gravity, Still Life with Fugue, How We Became Ourselves, and Rain by Midnight.

A former Sergeant in the United States Army's 82nd Airborne Division, he spent years inside systems built on structure, endurance, and silence. That experience doesn't announce itself in his fiction, but it's there—in the tension beneath restraint, in characters who know exactly what it costs to hold still.

His novels frequently center on LGBTQ relationships, where intimacy carries real weight, and the impact isn’t ornamental. He writes for readers who want emotional precision and interior depth over spectacle or easy redemption.

Kevin has lived and traveled across continents. He brings a global perspective to stories anchored in psychological realism and ethical dilemmas.

He is currently based in Medellín, Colombia.
